A friend in high school body lifted his truck with pieces of 2x4 because we didn't have the money for a metal pipe or something let alone an actual lift kit. We called it the 4x2x4 !!

Like I told you the other day, I had a 1983 Datsun D-310 that was a BEAST in the mud. With regular tires. SO light and a skid plate was awesome. Just have to hit the puddles faster and ski a bit...; )~

My buddy, when we were younger, got a old Dodge Coronet station wagon. This thing was a beast. He had a bunch of property. We beat the shit out of that thing in the woods. We ended up cutting the roof off of it because it got smashed by a tree. But, man, that thing, for being a station wagon, rear-wheel drive, it handled the property roads pretty good.

BTW I was once out in my older 4 runner, in the woods on muddy trails. Pulled over with a buddy of mine. A 60s era mercedes drove by and went thru a small bog. We were like wtf? It had to be stolen, or, I have no idea. Black mercedes, the chrome etc. flying on an offroad trail.
