@ess_n_stuffs Honestly, props to The Proud Family for not tolerating bad behavior simply because the individual is disabled. Everyone should held to the same standard and no one should use their disability as an excuse to be an intolerant asshole. It's wrong to do so.

@ess_n_stuffs As a disabled person, I think it’s important to acknowledge that disabled people don’t need to be treated with kid gloves and that we can be shitty people just like anyone else. Like my body not working doesn’t mean I’m an inherently kind person

@ess_n_stuffs Episodes like these are a weird subject, because it’s not a bad inherently to have a lesson that some people use their disabilities as an excuse for poor behavior. You just have to do it 100% perfectly or else people will assume you’re saying “the disabled are also jerks.”

@ess_n_stuffs As much as I now know that there are disabled people who can be jerks but I kind of wish, there was an episode where a different disabled person was shown in positive light right after that episode, you know something like yin & yang.
