GTA Vice City Next Gen Edition is pretty crazy. Seeing GTAVC run in real-time on top of the GTA 4 engine with all its cars, NPCs and even missions included is what The Definitive Edition should have been. Modders truly are incredible.

I've recently installed GTA Vice City next-gen edition and I'm shocked to see how a group of modders are able to re-create an almost 1:1 copy of GTA Vice City in GTA IV. These cutscenes are in-game, with mocap and facial animations, this game is also objectively better than the launch of GTA VC Definitive Edition. The guys behind this are incredibly talented

One of the Grand Theft Auto V downsides was that it didn't match GTA IV in terms of euphoria ragdoll physics, in this example here you can see how easily the NPCs die when you shoot them on the foot. Part of the reason why I believe the euphoria engine was downgraded was due to the scale of GTA V and that it was designed for PS3/Xbox 360 consoles. Fast Forward a generation later, Red Dead Redemption 2 is much better compared to this, but I still prefer the one in Grand Theft Auto IV. When GTA VI comes out, perhaps we will see a more improved version of euphoria ragdoll physics which will be a mix of both GTA IV style ragdolls and Red Dead Redemption 2.

The fact that Rockstar managed to put all of this tech inside a game made for the PS3 is truly incredible, the physics in GTA IV were way ahead of its time GTA VI is really going to take full advantage of current gen consoles and I can't wait to check it out.

I'm always blown away by the fact that Rockstar Games casually made some of the best and most realistic water physics in 2008. GTA IV is the prime example of Rockstar Games focusing heavily on bringing realistic physics in a video-game. Everything from how a car handles, NPC ragdoll and water simulation in Grand Theft Auto IV was way ahead of its time and it even beats most of AAA games that we've seen these past few years when it comes to those game mechanics. Imagine how much ahead GTA 6 is going to be now that Rockstar Games has much more processing power to work with on current gen consoles

Even though we've only seen snippets of how the underwater looks like in GTA 6, I can't wait to see what Rockstar Games has done this time. Grand Theft Auto V underwater exploration was awesome for its time and I always found myself exploring multiple areas because of how calming it is. With GTA 6 I'm expecting Rockstar Games to add even more sea creatures and mysteries like this UFO one in GTA 5

I love how this section of the extended look is basically Rockstar saying… We know how you all escaped the police in GTA V and you won’t be doing that in GTA 6. Losing the cops is about to become a lot more challenging, and I’m absolutely ready for it. The combat here looks fluid, impactful, and actually skill-based not just button mashing and it makes you think about timing, positioning, and reactions. If Rockstar can bring that kind of detail into GTA 6, it would seriously elevate how encounters feel, especially in close-range fights. Given how much they improved melee and physics in RDR2, there’s a good chance they’ll take things even further this time. If they pull it off, fights in GTA 6 could feel more grounded, unpredictable, and way more engaging than anything we’ve seen in the series before.
