Josh Safdie was in attendance, and the guy tried to claim David Lynch would have supported him 😂

@SaveArclight It’s my experience that the new Beverly does not fuck around when it comes to taking your phone out during the movie. Movies are sacred at the new Beverly, they warn you several times at the beginning of the film. Good for them.

@SaveArclight “They are now banned for life” has been a part of the opening spiel about the phone policy at this theater for years now, very cool that this is now a canon event💀

*Escorted out by police

@SaveArclight my favorite part is always when they say “don’t be like the beloved regular who pulled out his phone yesterday during the trailers and got banned for life” because it’s such a beautiful rhetorical device that is insanely effective but now they have PROOF to back it up 😂😂😂

@SaveArclight

@SaveArclight

@SaveArclight What happened:

@SaveArclight That policeman did an excellent job of not letting anything escalate. Thank god there are still some cops that still understand what we actually need from them.

@SaveArclight wow, the music was too perfect, this felt like a Seinfeld episode

@SaveArclight "Where be your nutcracker"

@SaveArclight That was an every other night occurance at the $2 Vine St Theatre on Hollywood Blvd in the 80s! 👍😎

@SaveArclight I have slept on this theater. After this incident I’m definitely going to go check out some movies there. This is my kind of crowd.

@SaveArclight This same person who got kicked out was also seen stalking the theater outside hours after he was removed.

@SaveArclight What movie was playing? They drop already played titles from their website calendar.

Wild Strawberries/ The Straight Story

@SaveArclight That I would not have guessed - thanks

@SaveArclight When I was there a couple of years ago, the manager told the audience before the screening that a regular client had been banned for life that day for taking out his phone. No exceptions. They're very serious about that.

@SaveArclight funny story. i went to the new beverly like a year ago. i tried to take a picture of the opening shot s& the MC came & told me to put the phone away (I KNOW! I LEARNED MY LESSON!) and blocked my phone and instead of acting like a dick, i just put the phone away. not hard to do

@SaveArclight When watching Bergman contemplate isolation and human existence, how can one NOT get overly excited and want to tweet about it and tell your friends? C'mon, can you blame him?.. 😃

@SaveArclight If it was over checking his cell, everyone filming this should've also been kicked out.

@SaveArclight The cinematic irony of recording in the movie theater the situation that was caused because he was recording in the movie theater

@SaveArclight @rocco_botte

@SaveArclight Thrown out for What? A meal? For eating a meal? A succulent Chinese meal?

@SaveArclight NGL, I'd love my local AMC theater to enforce a "no phone" policy. I'd be encouraged to watch a few more movies I generally wouldn't watch in the theater. Unfortunately, they probably couldn't enforce such a policy because they would be accused of discrimination.

@SaveArclight Good. Wish all theatres did this

@SaveArclight We need more theaters treating phone users like this 🙌

@SaveArclight Their standard policy is to ban people for pulling out a phone. What happens to people who cause a one-hour delay due to phone-related controversy? Firing squad?

@SaveArclight He looks exactly like the kind of person who would do this.

@SaveArclight Hipster Runoff (Kapelovitz, 2026)

@SaveArclight I have such an abiding hatred of cellphones in cinemas, I actually wish this policy could be implemented everywhere.

@SaveArclight This should've been shot on 35mm

@SaveArclight Phone checkers straight to jail

@SaveArclight What an asshole.
