👏 Geoff Neal has been sober for nearly 100 days, which he began with a 75-day “Soft” program: "We did more of a 75 Soft. There were certain things, like the reading, I was like 'f*ck that'. But most of it I did. The key for me was no drugs and no alcohol, and keeping a relatively good diet. That was the main thing. The beginning of 75 Hard was my first day sober. So I’m pushing close to 100 days now. I’m not keeping track like that because I don’t want it to be a thing where I’m counting days. I want it to be forever. I want it to be my lifestyle. The harsh reality of being sober: Is this the end of fun? I don’t think so. But it’s going to take me a while to figure out how to be sober in a party and festival world where I’ve spent most of my life getting after it. My sober break was just gonna be November. Then December. Then just until Friendship Cruise. But as it got closer, something shifted. I realized I didn’t need a break. I needed to actually heal. So now my goal is all of 2026 sober. For most of my adult life, I’ve used alcohol and substances to push the vibe, push myself, and push the party. I don’t think I’m an addict, but years of partying has messed with my memory and focus, and that scares me. This is the most important year of my life. I’m going to heal my mind, release more music than ever, show up online like I actually give a shit, build community in new ways, get strong and healthy, and be the best dad and husband I can be. It’s gonna be hard as fuck, but I know it’ll be worth it ✌️💗

Yesterday I hit four years sober from heroin! from an abusive relationship to heroin addiction, to fentanyl. then, leaving that relationship but still falling back to heroin, to constant relapses for 2 and a half years. having sepsis multiple times, needing surgery multiple times, thinking it was the end multiple times. I thought I’d never escape this cycle. at my lowest I was using heroin, meth, xanax, and drinking alcohol all at once. I had no love or respect for myself. But every time I heard a faint voice in my head telling me to try again, I did. It led to relapse countless times, but eventually, it led to where I am today. originally I was trying to get sober for other people, for my pets dependent on me. I didn’t want to abandon them or hurt others with my own actions. But eventually, I tried getting sober for me. and eventually, it worked. My story isn’t special, this is what so many people are fighting with every single day. I got lucky, I survived. If you’re in the same place I was, don’t ever give up on yourself, you’re never too far gone, it’s never too late to escape.

This segment was spoken out of love and experience. It took me years to get sober and stay sober. I went through plenty of episodes like AB but the cameras weren’t on. It was probably one of the toughest things to personally overcome. It took me years to realize that drinking and drugging wasn’t for me. At the core of my addiction, I was running from reality and hated to admit it. I would try to mask my drinking/drugging as social but at the root it was just me masking my problems. One of the greatest things I did was get sober. I hope AB gets there and reclaims his health and wellness. He will be better for it. I’m better for it. I wouldn’t be doing anything I’m doing today if I was still drinking/drugging. No doubt about that. AB is an Ohio Boy so I’m rooting for him. I don’t judge it. I understand it.
