@naturevideos These are excellent reaction images... I'm saving them for later. Like..."ew stay away" and "really? in front of my ice floe?"

@naturevideos It's the same as a gorilla or orangutan. Be hind those eyes you can tell there is no panic or primal fear like with most animals, but actual calculation going on in there that weighs heavily on your future

@naturevideos If you want to be more terrifying, they are intelligent enough to be aware what we are and what we do. They understand the concept of use creating things such as boats. They understand the complexity of us, not just observations

@naturevideos It’s an apex predator and we were always mid level prey before we stepped up our game and used tools. So our heebies get jeebied when something that high up its food chain takes notice of us.

@naturevideos I hate all the posts on reddit and other places that say "Orcas have never in history killed a person" Thats total BS because if they did kill a person, we would never know.

@naturevideos I have a theory. It’s because they have prey eyes (eyes on the side of their head for increased view from all directions) while actively being an apex predator of the ocean. Imagine seeing a small and harmless squirrel staring at you with predator eyes, would also be unnerving

@naturevideos I think it’s because those white patches look like eyes so when you actually see them looking at you with those itty bitty things it’s extra unsettling

@naturevideos I used to think these things were cute. Until I found out they hunt great white sharks to eat their livers.
