mark explained the confidence behind his big decision “that kind of thing felt so precious. i mean, even putting aside security, money, all these things.. the fact that i still had something i wanted to achieve. that felt so precious. ive always wanted to do things well, to really reach the top in everything. as someone who wakes up every day with this drive to live at my best, i began to wonder, “what does ‘the best’ actually mean? and whats my ultimate dream? what is the greatest thing i can leave behind in this life, in this world?” so everything started connecting. and if this is the greatest dream i believe in, then i needed to commit to it with my absolute best effort. honestly, everyone in this world is living by their own standards and who you are depends on, the standards you live by. but honestly, ive always had a bit of a loser mindset, what a man should be? and i never felt like that matched who i am. ive always had a complex about that, like rough or edgy and not too exemplary either. but suddenly i got confused about all that. i ended up talking about it to david, david kept asking me “what is that coolness you have in your head?” that made me dig deep and really think. i realized i should actually live by what’s ‘good’ and i need to express that through music. so i found this dream of showing ‘goodness’, i want to show the world what real goodness is and making music like that. ultimately, for the next generation.. i really want to show the next generation what that is. so my dream became very clear. you can be good and also be cool, i want to create a new kind of cool. i truly want that and i want to live it and achieve it in my own life. i realized this is truly something worth dedicating your life to.”

That said, the rest is my opinion, and I stand by it. I actually like you and take a lot of what you say to heart. However, I genuinely don’t understand why you continue to allow Erika to manipulate and influence you into doing her bidding. Even in this episode, you said, “Satan’s greatest tactic has always been to make evil appear good and good appear evil.” I believe Erika fits that description based on her actions, not just words. Actions speak louder than words. I also agree that discernment is important, and I’d encourage you to apply that same discernment when it comes to her. A lot of us see the same patterns, and I think it’s worth examining why. If you’re truly open to having an honest conversation about it, I’d be more than happy to sit down with you on a livestream and discuss it further.

Mark: It's been on my mind, and I just felt like I had to get this off my chest. And so I just felt like I had to turn this live on and to really just tell you guys how I felt regarding the T-shirt with the Confederate flag on it. I am aware of the pain that it brought to a lot of people, and especially to my black fans, to the black community. And I know that I should have. I am very responsible for it. But I really wanted to directly tell you guys that it really wasn't my intention, with me knowing the meaning of the flag, the historical significance of it. It really shouldn't have happened, and it really does not reflect who I am as a person. But seeing so many fans being hurt by it, it really hurt me as well. I had no intention knowing the meaning of the flag, and I should have. There are no excuses to that. But I just wanted to promise you guys directly that something like that will never happen again. With me and my whole team, we have made, we have taken steps to make sure that something like that doesn't happen. But I just, and I know that a lot of people have been waiting for me to kind of address this directly. And I've been sitting on this for a while, and I really wanted to get this off my chest. From northern Gaza ✌🇵🇸... It may be the last message or the last post, and we may or may not meet, but we will remain in the north in Gaza City, if only for the last person. Please pray for us to be steadfast... My friends and dear ones.. I am your friend Mo and this is a new update.. First of all, I want to apologize for not responding to everyone. Everyone knows that we in the north are subjected to a hideous massacre, and it is dangerous for me to go to a place from which I can receive an Internet signal... Believe me, when I see your message, this does not mean that I ignore it. This means that the signal is weak and the Internet is slow. But I see your comments and support with love.. I went to the doctor and had an ultrasound examination to check the tumor and blue marks in my abdomen. The doctor was satisfied with my condition and told me that it was just bruises from the surgery... We are still living in terrifying and difficult times.. The army is still waging a military campaign in the north.. and the tanks are about 1.5 km away from me.. I'm wondering for how long? When will this nightmare end? When will we get out of this hell? Death is no longer terrifying... This life is more terrifying... We still struggle every day to get food. They are still besieging us and using starvation as a weapon against us.. Me, the cats, and my family are all fine. The video below is of my daughter Julia helping me take care of the cats.. there is an idea came to my mind to plant a garden in order to get some vegetables. I bought the seeds from the black market for very ridiculous amounts.. and it will take approximately 3 months for the vegetables to mature.. We don't know if we will stay in the north or if we will live to eat from it. But it is worth the risk... because we miss eating fresh vegetables.. I hope you will support me to get through these difficult times We depend on the black market to get food and food is 100 times its basic price. I have to admit that there were many times when I would watch a concert and think to myself, “One day, I want to be on that stage and perform for everyone.” And today, that day has come. It’s a strange feeling. It’s like a dream I’ve been chasing since I was a child. When the day comes that it actually happens, it’s such a strange feeling because I don’t even know how to explain it to the people in front of me. But one thing I do know is that I feel incredibly lucky to have everyone here watching me. This is a profession, something I never thought I would actually do. Honestly, I always thought it would just be a dream because I’ve always tried to live in the real world. I knew that the chance to have an opportunity like this in the real world is… 00000000,1% of the population. So I focused on studying. I planned out my life what I wanted to do, how I would live and this was just a hobby. My friends know me well; I told them this back in my first year of university. Everyone knows me as a GMMTV artist and actor, with some work here and there. And everyone asked me, "Why are you worrying about this?" With confidence, I replied, “I’m studying because when I graduate, I’ll stop doing this and get a proper job maybe in a bank, a firm, or an IT company.” One thing my parents have always told me since I started in the entertainment industry is: "If you really want to do this, why not take it seriously? Don’t just do it for fun. If you want to do it for real, plan it. Think about what you want to do, and how to do it well." I had always refused… until one day, in my third year, I was sitting in a friend’s condo while they were writing their résumé to apply for jobs just preparing a portfolio so they’d have work after graduation. Then my friend asked me, "Hey, have you started your CV yet?" Okay… now I had to get serious. I opened my own schedule, and what I saw was… strange. Looking at it, I realized, “Wow… I’ve been doing this without even realizing it.” My schedule, from the 1st to the 31st of August, was almost fully booked. For the first time, I thought to myself, “Maybe I can actually do this… all the way, even when I’m old.” And from that day in 2023 until today, in 2025, I am truly grateful to everyone for giving me the opportunity to do this as a real profession, to chase my dreams for real, and to actually make them happen. I think there's something in this that allows me to like stay in my life while I'm doing it and therefore I think allows me to take care of myself better, which I think makes me better at doing the thing. mark’s speech for the world, at the world environment day 2026 “hello everybody, my name is mark lee. it is an honor to be here today. thank you so much for inviting me to world environment day and to Azerbaijan here in Baku. it is a beautiful city. before i sing you guys a song, i would like to tell you a short story. i visited kenya earlier this year, and at that time, i was going through a very important time in my life. i had to make a very important decision for my career and for my life. and so i had a lot of people giving me advice, asking me questions that i didn’t really know the answer to. i was going through a strange, confusing period of time. but i was in kenya and so i went on a safari. i saw so many beautiful animals, and i saw a lion. and at that moment, i kind of realized that sometimes its not really important to know the answer to all these questions or to know if you’re perfectly ready for everything, but rather whether you’re willing to take the next step toward real change. so i made this song in kenya. its called “ready or not” and if i am correct and if we’re all getting the same memo, i do believe that our planet is asking us the same question. not whether we’re ready, but whether we’re willing to raise our voices and take this step. whether we’re willing to care enough to create real change. i believe our souls all have this longing for a better world and i think thats one of the truest pieces of evidence there is that a better world could exist for everybody.”

mark’s speech for the world, at the world environment day 2026 “hello everybody, my name is mark lee. it is an honor to be here today. thank you so much for inviting me to world environment day and to Azerbaijan here in Baku. it is a beautiful city. before i sing you guys a song, i would like to tell you a short story. i visited kenya earlier this year, and at that time, i was going through a very important time in my life. i had to make a very important decision for my career and for my life. and so i had a lot of people giving me advice, asking me questions that i didn’t really know the answer to. i was going through a strange, confusing period of time. but i was in kenya and so i went on a safari. i saw so many beautiful animals, and i saw a lion. and at that moment, i kind of realized that sometimes its not really important to know the answer to all these questions or to know if you’re perfectly ready for everything, but rather whether you’re willing to take the next step toward real change. so i made this song in kenya. its called “ready or not” and if i am correct and if we’re all getting the same memo, i do believe that our planet is asking us the same question. not whether we’re ready, but whether we’re willing to raise our voices and take this step. whether we’re willing to care enough to create real change. i believe our souls all have this longing for a better world and i think thats one of the truest pieces of evidence there is that a better world could exist for everybody.”

Mark's full statement regarding the recent issue : Before we actually get into the music though, there have been some things that I wanted to say to you guys directly. It spent on my mind and I just felt like I had to get this off my chest and so I just felt like I had to turn this live on on and to really just tell you guys how we felt regarding the T-shirt with the confederate flag on it, I am aware of the pain that it brought to a lot of people, especially to my black fans, to the Black community and I should have, I am very responsible for it, but I really wanted to directly tell you guys that it really wasn't my intention with me knowing the meaning of the flag, the historical significance of it, it really shouldn't have happened. And it really does not reflect who I am as a person. But seeing so many fans being hurt by it, it really hurt me as well. I had no intention knowing the meaning of the flag, and I should have, there are no excuses to that. But I just wanted to promise you guys directly that something like that will never happen again with me and my whole team we have made, we have taken steps to make sure that something like that doesn't happen, but I just, and I know that a lot of people have been waiting for me to kind of address this directly and I've been sitting on this for a while and I really wanted to get this off my chest and so I thought today was at the right time for me to tell you guys. It really breaks my heart to think that maybe the trust has been broken, but I promise you that I'll make it up to you guys, just with my actions and with my music. I'll make sure to make it up to you guys if you will allow me to have one more chance. I'll try my best to get and so once again I truly would like to apologize for the pain that that picture is brought to a lot of people and I promise to educate myself more on that matter as well. When I first heard about it, actually I read about it, I was shocked and we and our entire team made sure that it wasn't on any official content but the picture got leaked. We instantly uploaded an apology as well. But now I really felt like I had to personally take action for this. Once again I would like to apologize for bringing so much pain to a lot of people. 📢| Young Multi addressed the latest situation “As you know, I am a Polish creator, and some international viewers who are seeing this for the first time don’t know my full history online or the Polish context I grew up in; that’s why I wanted to clear this up. So 14 years ago, when I was 15, I used a word in a video that I shouldn’t have never used. I never tried to hide it; I never tried to cover it up. That clip was publicly available the entire time in YouTube. I had the tools to remove it from the channel that uploaded it at any point. And I chose not to because I rather own it than pretend it never happened. I’m not using my age or where I am from as an excuse; that’s only for context. But the responsibility to understand the weight of the word was mine, and I came to understand it on my own. I already talked about this when I just started streaming, to my Polish viewers, before anyone dug it up now. But the video from this is long gone, so I don’t have a recording of it. You can take my word for it or not I’m not gonna push anyone to believe me. I said openly many times that I said stupid things in the past that i wouldn’t say today, that I regret, and I am ashamed of it. Often, I was the one who brought this topic up. Nobody was trying to cancel me or pressure me into talking about it I talked about it on my own. Also, the same clip actually came up once before, around the time I was first introduced to an international audience. And I didn’t address it then not because I wanted to ignore it I just didn’t feel confident enough in explaining something that difficult in English, which I said in my stream in Polish. It's not my first language, and explaining something properly without a context is a lot harder for me than in Polish, and I was afraid that the language barrier would make me come across the wrong way. I'm sorry for what I said. Now that I'm much older, I know that word hurts people, and I'm sorry that I used it. If after this u feel that you don't want to watch me anymore, I understand, and you shouldn't feel bad about that. However, for those who do stick around, I hope my behaviour shows that I genuinely changed and that I see a lot of things differently now. And like I said on the international Discord: liking me doesn't mean u have to defend me all the time. Then later on of course the history lessons of our own tragic 1994 Genocide because of the division that was there. The lessons from that, and which shaped me or informed me and many others, it’s not just me there are many others; in a situation like that, every individual in a way you have to make personal even, or informed decisions. Either you give up and break and that’s the end of you, or you make the choice of saying, I am going to stand up to this, I am going to give it a fight that I have in me, to survive and maybe to make progress. At a personnel level that happened. I, at some point, and I know it’s not just me it’s many in our country, we’re faced with individual choices; do you give up and die or do you die fighting? And those of us who made a choice of the latter, that is how these choices [came to be]. Today I am President, I never thought, I never even lived or thought to be President, when it came I embraced it but it’s not what I was fighting for, in our struggle, I was fighting for my rights to my country, I was asking myself questions and that’s what many other Rwandans, girls and boys, men and women, were asking themselves.
