JOONGDUNK PRAEW PODCAST #DearMyselfxJoongDunk Joong once said Dunk—maybe not word for word but something like: “if there’s anyone in this world who’s going to hurt you i want you to know i’ll be the last person to ever hurt you” 🌞this came from a time back in safe house 🌻when i was younger i had insecurities about two things—my voice and my height. this is something i’ve never really shared before. i used to be the tallest in class and had the deepest voice, so people would tease me—calling me things like “giant” “big guy” even “refrigerator” like i was some kind of huge creature. back then i didn’t feel like i fit in. cause of that, i developed insecurities—i would try to make myself look smaller when standing with friends and i wasn’t confident at all. i didn’t like my voice either and when people imitated it or joked about it i really didn’t like it. as i grew up those two things actually became what i like most about myself—my voice—i didn’t even like my own voice and when people teased me, like imitating “oh hello Dunk~” in that tone i really didn’t like it. i didn’t like people mimicking my voice. but as i grew up, those two things actually became what i like about myself—the deep voice and tall. so now it’s not a problem anymore 🌞but i wasn’t teasing him in a bad way. in safe house everyone joked around—it was just how friends talked it like “Dunk has such a deep voice” and no one really thought much of it and no one realized how he felt. it was also the early stage when we had just gotten to know each other everyone would say things 🌞then suddenly i noticed something from his expression so i went to ask what was wrong. his eyes were red. maybe he didn’t like being teased so there was a mix of anger and sadness. i got shocked and wondered “what is he angry about? did i say something wrong?” 🌞cause honestly, everyone was just joking around without thinking much so i explained him “if you doesn’t like it, i won’t say it again” “okay na”. just remember this—“i’ll be the last person to ever hurt you” that’s where that sentence came from

🗣️: Were you surprised? Mew : I was surprised. I was really glad that he came. I was very stressed. The funny thing is, I always consult him (about this show). The staff gave me feedback like this, but he gave me an evasive answer. I was confused. Like, why was he answering so strangely? Tul : I told P’Mew that no matter what, I wouldn’t go on the show because I get nervous and don’t really want to appear on it, something like that. I wanted to see him guess and see his reaction. I thought it would be funny. He’s a very attentive person. Tul : At first, I was going to pretend to be a woman or a trans woman and even practiced changing my voice. But during the rehearsal before filming, I used my full voice and lost it. So I couldn’t do a female voice anymore. I changed my voice to sound like a slightly hoarse rock singer instead. Mew : I actually thought to myself, “Could it be him?” When I started thinking about everything that had happened over the weekend, something felt a little strange about this show. Mew : Thank you to my partner for coming. And thank you for helping me guess right. Tul : It’s been a long time since I last sang with P’Mew. We’ve both been really busy lately, but he always sings really well. We’ve talked before about how our voices go well together. P'Tukky : This is a secret. When I interviewed Ron Paul last year, I asked him what it was about his race, when compared to someone like Mitt Romney’s, that created such an enduring movement. Because he's extraordinarily humble, Dr. Paul said it was because of the ideas and that he was standing on the shoulders of giants. But I insisted that it went beyond the ideas— it had something to do with his character. Tucker Carlson’s monologue before his interview with Ron Paul captures it exactly: It can't be reduced to the fact that he was a libertarian—that overstates it and understates it. Ron Paul created a lasting movement because he is an honest man and has been a consistent moral voice. And for that, he was seen as crazy in 2008 and 2012. But now people recognize that Ron Paul was right.

🐿️ I really wanted to rap a song like that with Felix. So, it was my first time performing a full hip-hop song as a unit on stage, and it felt really different. The audience's reaction was also really positive. Felix has such a naturally amazing voice, so I worked on the flow and Felix wrote the Chorus lyrics, which fit perfectly. He really brought the flow to life, and I thought that part was truly impressive.
