it's the 'that we don't already know' bit. Everyone knew that he was in with Epstein. That wasn't a secret, and therefore it wouldn't have been brought up.

And yet there is no evidence the PM knew.

@PeterStefanovi2 Hang on. The onus was on Oliver Robbins to inform someone in a senior position in the Cabinet Office that Mandelson's vetting had come out high risk. Does the PM still want to go ahead with the appointment? Instead Robbins took the decision himself!

I suppose one positive to take is the vetting system acitslly works in terms of how the vetting team assess and report. They said it wasn't appropriate for all the reasons virtually everyone apart from Skier knew.
