How is Apple Music *for Mac* still so…terrible? I just wanted to play a song. It started doing this. I can't play anything. I love the Music app on iOS, but damn, it's still so buggy and slow on desktop 😕

Mingyu's Essentials: Apple iPad 🐶: I've really had this iPad for a long time. I've had it for years, and I use it when working on lyrics, or when I draw using apps. I've written so many lyrics on this iPad. There are tons of fun things in my notes.

For so many years I've wanted a Spotify app with a small window, good hotkeys, low resource usage, and that's just quick to navigate around. So I finally decided to build it. I've been using it myself and I'm very pleased with it ✌️ It's still in progress but very promising!

Wemby on whether Trump going to the game tomorrow will be a distraction: "Not really. I think it could be, but isolating myself is something I've practiced over the years, and I think I'm good at it, so it's not a problem. This is similar to something media wise, like the Olympics"

I can now vibe an app on my iPhone 3G without a computer and open it like it is. 👌

Just a reminder at how cool immersion cooling can look like. This past week at Computex I've had a couple of conversations about it, if it's good or relevant. The short answer is that even with the PFAS removed, and it being on display for 10+ years, no-one wants to buy it.

I made a little weather app with a frog that changes its outfit and mood according to the weather. I illustrated it myself and used Apple’s Foundation Models to give it some character.

1/3 So I've been messing around and decided to make a custom sprite test for Silksong, based on my previous Midna design. This was just for fun and I've only made this one cycle animation. It's the first time that I mod something custom like that so it might be a bit rough!

👀 This is so cool... I've prototyped an always-watching assistant for iOS that lives in the Dynamic Island, looks at what you're doing in any app, and immediately suggests proactive actions based on the content. It can integrate with any system frameworks like MusicKit, MapKit, etc, and use on-device models, allowing it to watch everything you're doing without privacy concerns. Right now, it looks for calendar events to add to your calendar and locations to suggest directions.

"Hmm, a word I've never seen written before. I will sound it out based on the letters that compose it. Cah-ah-tuh. Cat! I've heard that word before, and now I know how to spell it! How intuitive!" That's how we used to teach reading. It had a proven track record of success. Now they literally tell kids to just guess what the word is and actively discourage them from sounding them out, and are surprised less than a third of American eighth graders can read at grade level.

Spotify quietly launched text-to-playlist in the U.S. ✨ You give it a prompt - it can be quite lengthy! - and it generates a playlist for you. It can also incorporate your listening data (e.g. "feature songs from my recent favorite artists")

So my elder brother booked an appointment for me at the The Perfume Bar 🇳🇬 and it was a most amazing experience. You get to choose your scent and make your own perfume. Then give it a name of your choosing. I had fun doing it. The beauty of it is that, no one gets to smell like you 😊 It is a beautiful place with a beautiful experience, and a wonderful customer service. You should go with your friend or partner.
