Supremacist positions have NO place in a civilized world. The belief that the US has the right to use nuclear weapons at will, but that no other country has that same right is ludicrous to its core. The first and only time they were ever used was a huge mistake and could questionably be written off as ignorance, having never been used before. But there is no excuse anymore. This uncrossed "big red line" has held for almost a century now. If the US crosses this line, it sets a precedent going into the future. If the US can use nuclear weapons at will, then so can any country on earth. Imagine nuclear weapons being used regularly in nearly every conflict going forward. Radiated lands, nuclear fall out blown across countries, cancers, and millions to billions dead... being a new normal. It also forces all countries without nuclear weapons, to aquire them as soon as possible for their own safety. It moves nuclear weapons from being deterrents to standardized conflict weapons to be used at will by every country on earth. If the US claims that right, then every country on earth also has that right. If the US uses them in Iran, then Russia in Ukraine, then North Korea in South Korea, China in Taiwan, and India & Pakistan in both by both. You would have to place it under the mountain first. Nuclear bombs don't create volcano sized craters. The violent explosion goes outward and up. The lethality comes from fire, heat, and a lateral shock wave. The sunlike heat pulls an enormous amount of oxygen upward into the sky which causes the mushroom cloud. If you look at pictures from Hiroshima you don't see a giant crater - just charred ground from the lateral blast.
