I was raised in a very religious household. I hated going to church Sun morning and Sun evening and Wed night and small group on Fri. Just gross. Now that I am older, I really only pray one prayer: Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me, a sinner.

The fact that some people can acknowledge they’re selfish turds, and irredeemable without grace is the difference. We have to be salt and light to this broken world, but we also have to acknowledge when it’s time to shake the dust off our feet and move on.

I get it, Shawn, but I think we’ve reached a clear line of delineation. One is for freedom or one is for the ability to oppress others. I believe our Creator didn’t place humans on earth so that they could oppress others. That is the devil’s work.
