Yall are gonna get off my people, if you don’t know you are either to young or you are not Generational Black American decended. For the Generational Black Americans who have descended from the roots of Southern States , Rice was absolutely a breakfast staple . Some prepared with sugar, some without, some with butter salt and pepper and some just plain. The reference to the 90s decade type breakfast is because Generation X is the last generation that received breakfast like this from the Boomers and is the last generation to sparingly give these kinds of breakfast combination traditions as more healthier alternatives changed what we were consuming.

i will never understand why black people add sugar to their dishes, i was over at someone's place and she had told me if i ever had sugar on spaghetti and i said no and then she goes on to dump almost the entire bag in it. i really wanted to just get up and go home but i wanted to be respectful i scarfed it down didnt even chew it because how horrible it was.
