Sometimes, even education cannot change a person's mindset. Some people remain trapped in the politics of appeasement and encroachment. Until the mindset changes, it will be difficult to put society and national interests above narrow agendas.

Sometimes, we Ghanaians are our own worst enemies How do you stand in the rain and deliberately dump rubbish into a gutter, then turn around to complain about flooding? This level of irresponsibility is exactly why we keep facing the same preventable disasters year after year Until some people change this mindset, the flood problem will remain with us

If you take the wealth of all the rich people in the world and give it to the poor, in two years the rich will get their money back, and many of the poor will return to poverty. Wealth is a system, and poverty is a mindset. Here’s how to break out of that mindset.

Terrible. The 'enrichment by multiculturalism’ in the UK! So many girls wearing headscarves! "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!" A failure of a society and its future, when people with this mindset have to shape the future.

We disrespect big odds a lot, and need to change our mindset and always believe it can work, so you don’t walk into a life changing opportunity and still remain in the trenches.

Heights of Congress appeasement! When Rahul Gandhi was told that minorities include Parsis and Christians too, not just Muslims, his response was: "If I stop using Muslims, I will not be Congress." His own words expose the Congress mindset; for them, minority politics begins and ends with Muslim appeasement.

I will be voting NO on Todd Blanche’s confirmation to be the next Attorney General. The American people deserve better. They deserve an Attorney General who will put the Constitution and rule of law above political retribution and the President’s interests.

Vusi explains a simple principle: when you’re a guest anywhere, you respect the host, the people, the culture and the space. But entitlement has blinded some people so badly that no amount of reasoning or convincing will ever change that mindset.😩

There will be an economic impact from the decisions the US has taken. We will continue to negotiate on a deal in our interests. Decisions will be guided only by our national interests and what is best for the security of working people. We will go further and faster on the changes we’ve promised to make our economy more resilient. That is my focus.

A differently-abled man is forced to ride his tricycle on the very edge of the footpath because it has been completely encroached upon by local vendors. While trying to squeeze through the narrow space, he loses balance and falls. This is the reality in India. Even footpaths are not safe or accessible for the people who actually need them the most. Encroachment everywhere, zero enforcement, and complete neglect of basic civic responsibility. A country that cannot even keep its footpaths clear for a differently-abled person should seriously question its claims of development. Sometimes it feels like nothing will ever change in this third-world chaos.

Political change in Somalia must happen through genuine national deliberations and consent and in accordance with the rules and procedures of parliament. A rushed political process driven by individual agendas will divide our nation. Inclusive politics must include all.

This is exactly what Dr Solomon Guramatunhu means when he says that ZANUPF is a reflection of the people it leads. You leave Zimbabwe for greener pastures in England and set up a new life there. Then you ruin it all by getting so drunk and then getting behind the wheel and driving. How different are you, really, from the very leaders you ran away from? You put the lives of other motorists at serious risk, all for the love of alcohol. As Dr Nkosana Moyo told me over breakfast in 2019, even a change of government will not bring change unless we first change the nation's mindset. The tragedy is that some fools will still come out to defend this stupidity. You cannot have a Zimbabwe different from the one under ZANUPF today if the citizen does not change their mindset. If you do not care about other motorists dying from your stupidity, how different are you from those who do not care about killing fellow citizens through misrule? If you live in a democracy like Britain, where the rules are fair to all, how can a democratic Zimbabwe, assuming it ever comes, be any different with such a mindset? We need to change our own thinking and habits first, before we demand that others change theirs. This was sheer stupidity, and it could have been lethal, not just to him, but to other innocent people.
