Sometimes I laugh when I remember how the 2013 Bengals Linebackers were Vontaze Burfict, Rey Maualuga and James Harrison. Three of the hardest hitting players in the league at that time. What was the plan???? 😂

The depth was good too. Vinny Rey was a key player for the Bengals in that era. You'll see in this clip, they bring in Taylor Mays as a nickel LB. He was a heat-seeking nut job too. Turned like a boat, but would routinely crush opponents and teammates alike.

That 2013 team overall was better than I think a lot of people remember. Of all the seven Marvin Lewis playoff losses the loss to the Chargers that season is the one that really sticks in my craw.
