Thank you. No, material isnt changing, it selects the most appropriate candidate from prebaked rectangles on the texture. Its basically the hotspotting technique with a few more cases handled (triangles, extremely long faces, ngons etc).

Not stupid. Fighting for geometry efficiency is still ongoing. This small asset pack ive made in the video, id say should be something around 1k tris. Maybe 2k.
