Last night was a lot… Living in the Big brother House involves a lot. It comes with a lot of pressure that requires patience and understanding. A week ago,Temi stepped into the Big brother house fully unaware of what to expect. She had previously not watched past seasons and just wanted to experience what living with different strangers and personalities feels like. She has acted in ways many find offensive and degrading including the incident from last night. Emotions were high last night and words were said. Temi is not perfect but a 21yr learning new things everyday. Temi has given entertainment and a lot of laughter in a week and one moment of reaction does not define her person. We do not excuse her heated reactions and hurtful words said in a riled moment but we believe she has reflected and deserves grace and an opportunity to grow. We’ve stayed silent because not every narrative deserves a response. But when the same story is repeated over and over, silence can be mistaken for acceptance, and that’s unfair to Temi. Let’s not lose sight of the bigger picture. Temi came into that house to have fun, make genuine connections, build friendships and enjoy the game. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
