Sometimes the doctors are wrong. Happy baby. 😍

They said the same thing about my first son after an amino test. They said he would have Spina Bifida or have no brain or a little bit of one. I was 17 when I was pregnant with him. They offered services to abort the pregnancy. I declined and went full term even though my doctor told me I would be devastated. He is 33 today. He is a construction worker and I have a granddaughter. He is a very smart guy. Sometimes doctors are very wrong.

I’m beginning to think these people are liars.

My former SIL aborted her child because he had a cleft palate. Absolutely disgusting. A cosmetic “defect” because he wasn’t perfect to her.

They're OFTEN wrong. But who can blame them? It just confirms that not even doctors can make sense of ultrasound images.

Very often doctors are wrong. Not only sometimes.

Imagine how many babies have been aborted due to errors.

My best friend has spina bifuda, that went untreated in the womb. She has a fused spine, clubbed feet, basically no muscle at all in her calves, and has had several surgeries for various health issues. Her quality of life may be different, but she has a great one.

31 years ago my parents were told the baby likely didn't have brain development. They chose to get a 2nd opinion. The 2nd opinion said there was a healthy baby boy. And then my mom had a healthy baby girl. Lol. Technology has come a long way but they arent always right.

My doc told us my baby had a high chance of having down syndrome and offered abortion as an option at 5 months. It was my very first encounter with the blessed maternal instinct to protect my baby at all costs. My baby was born just fine - just started college this year. 🩷

i’d march my BEAUTIFUL baby right into that office and show that doctor just how wrong she was and remind her it’s not up to her to make decisions for her patients. Thanks me and my beautiful perfect baby boy will be leaving now. God is good. He can do anything 💞

This is exactly why people need to choose LESS testing. For 35 years as a birth worker I am completely opposed to finding out the sex of the baby for multiple reasons.

Trust the experts!

The algorythm showed me this story, that's why I'm here. This kind of narrative is appalling (and very likely not true). What if he was paralized? What if it was worst than what the ultrasound showed? It gives false hope to future parents. Irresponsible.

Who is that piece of shit incompetent doctor? Deserves to have their medical license removed
