The best approach would be to establish systematic hawker zones in designated areas, where vendors are provided with proper stalls, affordable rents, hygiene facilities, and legal documentation. Some what like the below image.

BMC is right in taking such action on encroachment, shops and even residential homes are seen to be extended beyond the authorised area. Shops occupy the footpath area and residents elevate and extend chajja's and create balconies. All these prove hazardous for the structure, especially when firefighting!

The hawkers are there because they have customers who buy from them. They sell stuff at very cheap price and make things affordable and within reach of poor. Instead of this they can create hawker zones or have weekly market during set timings.

Actually this is the only option 20 gaz ki shop encroachment 150/200 gaz outside shop, pedestrian road puri kabza kar lete hain Kuch bolo to BKL ladne lagte hain

I am not for damaging anyone,s property. But there's no fear or control as hawkers and shops occupy footpath and even some parts of roads
