The stinging makes no sense. You sting to protect yourself but it turns out to be an act of suicide.

Grab it by the butt and pull it out so it doesn’t die. Done that before, I’ve also done cpr on a bee that was drowning.

Bee swarms usually rest when they land on a car and don’t plan to move in. Driving off can separate the queen from the swarm, so it’s best to park and call a beekeeper to help relocate them
