The average salary in India is £6k. The minimum wage in the UK is over 4 times this. Please "mansplain" how this won't be abused at the detriment of British workers.

You said it yourself - if they come here and are employed by British firms then they need to be paying NI etc. - Yes, that is the point! Due to this arrangement there’s a loophole that allows Indian’s to come and WORK in this country, conduct their work and compete against British based businesses! The fact that they continue to pay India’s taxes is exactly the point, and just because it’s “normal” doesn’t make it OK. India’s standard of living is far below what it is here in the UK! Furthermore, does the cost they need to pay if they use the NHS actually cover the (average) cost the NHS bears for these treatments or is the British, National Insurance paying tax-payer having to bear some of that burden too 🧐? Do they not use our roads, our infrastructure, our public services at all when they are here? How narrow is your thinking? You have to be incredibly naive if you think this is somehow a trade deal that we should be thankful for. It’s yet another capitulation from successive incompetent governments. The country can’t take much more of it, and people are already fleeing in their droves due to your other measures as it is.

Explain this one then. Will employers pay NIC on their behalf? If not, that’s an incentive not to employ British people.

If they are resident here they should pay taxes here. They’re accessing taxpayer services in the UK so should be paying tax in the UK. You lot went nuts about non dom status. This is even worse. At least non doms contributed something to our economy.
