I miss my horse. Copper was my best friend for all my junior high and high school years. I still visited and rode him through college and my twenties. I know he's been gone for decades, but I learned so much from him. He listened to my teenage angst, tears, and boyfriend woes. I'd sit in his stall as he chomped his oats every afternoon after school. He was the best friend a young horse-crazy girl could ever have.

We do not deserve them...Thank you, God for horses and dogs...
