Compared to fighter pilots these Helicopters pilots flying in Himalayas are the TRUELY BRAVE and Masters of Flying . My brother who commanded 114 HU (Siachen Pioneers) is the rarest amongst rare. He survived crash landing near Sonam Post in Siachen (due to severe downdraft after liftoff). He had two stints at 114 HU, once as flight commander and second as Commanding Officer. This is not from 2021 Arunachal crash.....it's from 2018 crash near Kedarnath....the crashed chopper variant is Mi-17V5! 2021 variant was classic Mi-17!
