Water whirlpools are very devastating, this whirlpool swallowed a whole log

That’s what happens when a sinkhole appears under a river or a large body of water. It’s extremely dangerous. This happened in Kenya: 👇

Sinkholes form when water dissolves underground bedrock, creating voids. When these voids grow too large, the surface collapses into them, creating a sinkhole.

Tiny Whirlpool

Nature knowledge: The "Eye of the Earth", Mount Dinara Nature Park, Croatia. This karst spring is named as such due to its strong resemblance to an eye with the various shades of blue and turquoise when seen from above. It is formed by a hole of unknown precise depth, but is said to be apparently more than 300 ft deep. This small body of water is the primary source of the Cetina River, the longest river in Dalmatia. The Cetina flows for about 65 miles from the northwestern slopes of Dinara, the highest mountain massif in Croatia standing at 6,000 feet above sea level, until it merges with the Adriatic Sea.

This is absolutely terrifying, I’m an elder millennial my quick sand fear is being triggered 😭

Sinkholes are geological phenomena that occur when underground cavities or voids collapse, resulting in a depression or hole at the surface. Over time, groundwater circulating through fractures and cavities in the bedrock can dissolve and erode the rock, creating underground voids and caverns. As the bedrock dissolves, underground cavities or voids may form. These cavities can vary in size and may go unnoticed for years until they collapse, causing the overlying surface layer to sink or collapse into the void below. Excessive rainfall and flooding can exacerbate sinkhole formation by increasing groundwater levels and eroding the soil or sediment that fills underground voids. This can destabilize the ground and lead to the collapse of surface layers, especially in areas with karst landscapes

Such a great feeling 👏 So happy to know there's still so many good people around ❤️

A sinkhole with a diver in it.🌀 They can be dangerous.

In 2010, a massive 'sinkhole' created a 30-story-deep chasm that swallowed an entire intersection and a building. But sinkholes are natural occurrences & this wasn't. It was triggered by a tropical storm.
