For me #KalHoNaaHo theme is among the best tunes of Bolly. The piano & flute with a dash of beats symbolic of heartbeat make it eternal. An ode to life! 🥺 Ngl, I always get teary just listening to it Story of its making (pls read) 👇 KHNH theme was created by Loy Mendonsa when he was sitting at German Bakery, Pune. Nikhil Advani wanted something similar to My Heart Will Go On... He recorded it roughly, later showed it to Shankar Mahadevan - Ehsaan Noorani (Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy) When #JavedAkhtar heard it, he declared he will need time to write lyrics, to do justice to such deep nostalgic theme. It took him some days to finish the song. The team even waited 2 months for #SonuNigam to get free Sonu first recorded it how Nikhil Advani wanted. 5 months later #KaranJohar called him to redo it. Some moments stay with you forever… the journey of #Chhaava has been one of them. 🙏 I visited the theatre, not knowing I was about to witness something truly special. People were in tears, holding my hands, sharing how deeply the film touched them. Seeing Chhaava connect with so many hearts is something I will never forget. Every Herath (Shivratri), our Guru Ji, Dwarikanath, would come for the Herath Puza. He would sing this Shiv Strotram, if you have seen the movie Baramulla, you will know how it hits you. After the exodus happened Dwarikanath continued to come for some years but he could not pass on the baton. The Supreme Court order on stray dogs in Delhi is nothing but a death sentence for every single stray on every single street in the national capital - and each one of us needs to raise our voice against it to #SaveDelhiDogs. Listen, I’m not some animal rights activist. I think every single stray dog needs to be vaccinated, sterilised, and released into safe surroundings. Those who bite humans should be rehabilitated or put into a shelter. But how on EARTH and WHY are you putting EVERY SINGLE STREET DOG in Delhi in a shelter? Pehle toh aapke paas shelter nahi hai, aur order implement ABHI honi hai. What is the government doing? Releasing them into the forest! Into the ridge! How the hell will they survive? What is worse, they have absurd rules - you cannot adopt any dog that has been put into a shelter. So what will a puppy who has been picked up from the street today do? Live the rest of his life in a sarkari prison? The Supreme Court is correct to worry about a rise in rabies cases. But the solution is not this ABSURD, IMPRACTICAL, and INHUMAN plan to throw all our street dogs into poorly managed, poorly built shelters in the middle of nowhere. GLOBAL examples have shown that there is only ONE solution to this problem: vaccinate, sterilise, and release. Why does the government not want to follow SUPREME COURT RULINGS directing the MCD to carry out sterilisation drives? With all due respect to the Supreme Court, today’s verdict is not based in legal precedent nor in common sense or scientific fact. Aur toh aur, it goes against laws put in place by Parliament because of leaders like Maneka Sanjay Gandhi ji. This is a classic case of judicial overreach by a judiciary that has forgotten that it cannot invent the law. Finally, baat rahi of long term solutions. Most strays were once pets bought from sasta breeders who don’t care about animals. What happens when the dog that Dimple Aunty bought for her son’s birthday is thrown onto the streets one year later? When he mates with another dog abandoned by another careless owner and has kids on the street? How many dogs will you keep transferring to these shelters - and for how long? Look at the condition of the gaushalas constructed by this government. Look at the failed policy of trying to send monkeys to shelters.
