According to reports, the co-owner used the F-word, pointed at her head, and told them they needed Jesus to forgive them. One of the girls started crying. The team has now suspended the co-owner for five games and issued an apology. Sophie Cunningham’s response stayed classy: “I truly believe there is a safe space to love everybody… You can disagree and still be kind. Bravo to those girls for standing up for what they believe.” She continues to draw a clear line on fairness and safety in women’s sports, without hatred. Her Adidas shoes sold out in under an hour. Reese, a Sherwood High School athlete, placed 4th in high jump at the Oregon State championships and courageously took a stand for fairness in women’s sports. Thank you, Reese, for defending Title IX! But sadly, every House Democrat voted down a bill today that would have protected fairness in sports for Reese and her sisters.

We must defend the integrity of women's sports in America for the benefit of women everywhere. Today the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in two cases that challenge state laws reserving women’s and girls sports exclusively for females. As I said at the University of Virginia back in 2022, common sense needs to reign. Today, let’s pray that common sense and fairness reign at SCOTUS today!🙏🏻🇺🇸
