Do you not think much of the wear and tear is coming from the mileage and lack of recovery at the youth/AAU level ?

Lower the amount of games played to around 70 games. Bring back "somewhat hand checking" to slow down the game.

Do not change the number of games

I think has to do with their workouts. A lot of these newer workouts could be putting unnecessary strain on joints and ligaments with the unnatural, non basketball movements. I think players should just hoop more and do cardio instead of strength training.

CALF STRAINS GOING FORWARD..SHUT THE PLAYER DOWN.. period

SGA played 76 games, Dort played 67 games, Jdub played 69 games plus they played the IST. i dont think its shortening the games or something.

The NBA seems to downplay the way playing thru one injury increases the likelihood of a down stream injury.

Don't tell that to Thibs. Glad he's gone.

I think the obvious initial start would be to treat calf injuries the way concussions are treated & don’t allow a return until medical clearance after X amount of time. Apparently both Dame & Tatum had calf pain/injuries leading up to their tears, just like Hali. This would probably eliminate a significant # of tears.

Players have to listen to their bodies and do the smart thing.
