The narrative is quite literally slapping you in the face telling you that he respects her Was Aizawa yelling to the audience about the point of the fight not enough for you 😭 Or bakugo can just tell you himself

Aizawa was saying it would be an insult to go easy on her even though he outskills her...as Bakugo is using half assed explosions to knock her down but not out of the ring even though he shows at the end of the match he could have blown her out of the arena entirely

They hardly ever bring it up, but the reason Bakugo seldom uses huge explosions is because of recoil. He literally let her push him into a corner and then demonstrated she never stood a chance from the start. He was shaking and breathing heavily from not just taking her out straight away and instead resorting to a move that could have dislocated his shoulder

Ironically, this was when most fans started to actually like Bakugo. I know thats true for me personally

Everyone loves to use this moment to hate on bakugo for "going to hard" but when Todoroki iced Sero and the entire arena because he was pissed off noooobody mentions it

They say this as if they arent a in a world with super powers and also the fact the point of the school was to train them for real potential life threatening fights(which of course they see plenty as the series goes on)

Why is it so hard for people to understand Bakugo isn't cruel just for the sake of it (except to Deku) He took this fight seriously because her quirk was honestly a massive advantage in the ruleset and she's talented. If he held back he probably would have lost.

A competition doesn't necessarily mean having to try and kill your opponent. Bakugo definitely could have blasted her away easily but killing or severely wounding Uraraka wouldn't have been a heroic victory. I don't think OP is seeing things clearly.

I’m pretty sure part of the point of going to a hero school is to like get better at combat. She’s going to need to go against an opponent who is in almost every way stronger than her and still figure out how to beat them. Going easy on her is not how you achieve that

Yeah, he is treating her like the threat she is to him in this fight. Bakugo understood that if Uraraka touched him, he loses, because his own explosions would send him flying out of the ring. So his entire goal is to keep her away, since he will win eventually like that.
