Mega evolving the same pokemon more than once was confirmed in the Absol demo at Pokemon Worlds last month

This is awesome and helps so many Pokemon! For example I LOVE mega Lopunny but it was never “worth” using cuz other megas are better (stat wise) but now that many Pokemon can mega and not just one during a battle, I can finally use my beloved mega lopunny !

I played the demo at worlds and can confirm you can mega evolve several times in a battle :) I mega evolved Lucario twice

this is great news now we can have more mega pokemon in our party

That helps battles become a lot more balanced ngl

I already assumed Mega Evolution and the Mega Gauge was gonna work like this, purely cause of the gague mechanic. Glad to see it does.

Got to play a demo at PAX West and yea, you mega evolve them multiple times a battle. You attack the wild pokemon and little energy balls drop that charge a meter. Once that meter is full you can mega, which eventually runs out

this changes everything

Just to secure, you can Mega Evolve the same Pokemon more than once because in the first Demo, in the Fight against Mega Absol, the viral video made Lucario mega evolve 2 times in the same battle.

If you look at the plus moves, you can see that next to the plus is not a C but rather the symbol for mega gauge

I’m just so excited. So much in life is wrong and I’m scared tbh. Not going into further detail but I’m glad I have this to look forward to. I need help but have no idea how to get it. I guess I should just keep pushing as always.

It makes you wonder why there are even non-mega Pokemon in the game. Maybe Roserade will get a mega in the dlc?
