One of my absolute favourite moments in The Witcher 3 is Ciri returning to Kaer Morhen and Yen's welcome home. Yen is often composed and can be hard to read, which makes her joy hit so much harder. It adds so much weight to their reunion. That's her daughter. 💜

This is only a small moment from The Witcher 3, but it's yet another example of how these characters view Ciri and how the games and books treat her. There are constant remarks about Ciri being a Witcher, or wanting to be a Witcher, or being raised as one. If Ciri becoming a Witcher was a surprise to you, or if it didn't feel like the best and most obvious direction forward for the franchise, I just think you weren't paying attention.

"So originally, (tornado) was just piano that kind of had a sweet feeling, I shared it on ig. Then I thought, what if I add a little bit of 808 bass here (?).. so I added that. I thought it might sound a little strange, like ahh, this might be a bit weird, but should we try it? and then with Shintaro magic, and it was good. So from there, I made the top line but the words that kept coming out of my mouth were 'tornado.' I kept saying it, though I don’t normally use the word tornado a lot, but for some reason I kept saying it, so I thought..ahh, I just need to go with this. It just feels so natural. So I kept trying some things, adding more, writing lyrics, and in the end we finished the demo in one day in about seven hours"

WITCHER 3 HAS BEEN A SOLID ONE SO FAR! alittle overwhelming on the mechanics for now, but we JUST started and its my first time playing any witcher game, so may get used to it after abit longer(?) WE MAY HAVE FOUND OUR NEXT LONG GAME TO PLAY YA'LL!! :0

🐱really long ago when i was little, i had memorized piano & then stopped & forgot it, so for about 10 years? i hadn't played. but i still have the muscle memory of playing from long ago, so if i want to play i can memorize. so with that mindset, i was able to do this from the production to the concept. & i thought about what concept would suit this song. & there was a piano, so i also thought i must play the piano, that way it will be cool

Was preparing to go to church this morning when it started raining heavily, so I thought to play a melody against the sound of the downpour. As the raindrops danced on the roof, I found a gentle harmony on my piano. It felt like an intimate conversation between the heavens and the earth-a piece of intimate joy in the midst of this stormy morning-a delicate balance of chaos and melodies. This is what I imagine being in love feels like.
