I kid you not, this is how things are done in Australia. It is a soft applied tyranny with politeness & courtesy. This is a real parody of how things work & how you can work around it. Think of it this way, you “can” have the option not to comply with this tyranny in certain circumstances, but they make it difficult in such a way people comply as to have to not go through the hassle. This guy’s escape is an example of those who went through hassle instead of feeling compelled to comply with the politeness & courtesy.
