Joburg Water, eThekwini, Cape Town, Rustenburg, and Tshwane municipalities have been using this technology for sewage pipe lining over the past 20 years. I have no information on the water pipes though.

The EFF has a brilliant policy that seeks to get rid of tenders. If the EFF policy on tenders were to be supported by all South Africans, that would lead to the strengthening of government capacity to do things like this.
