South African Racist Group Invokes Twisted Logic To Evade Accountability AfriForum, a racist lobby group in South Africa, has pulled a calculated stunt to derail the country’s ongoing Khampepe Commission. Headed by Justice Sisi Khampepe, the commission was set up to investigate atrocities committed by the apartheid government, with... renewed focus on the Cradock Four, whose families finally secured a reopened hearing on 10 November 2025. After years of stonewalled justice, the process appeared to be nearing a long-overdue conclusion. But AfriForum has now thrown a spanner in the works, hiding behind what it calls the “pursuit of justice.” The group argues that individuals who suffered “violence” during the ANC’s push back against apartheid also deserve justice, accusing the commission of colluding with the ANC to shield its former members. Yet, while loudly demanding “fairness,” AfriForum is simultaneously refusing to release any of the so-called evidence it claims to have on ANC-linked attacks or other apartheid-era incidents. Instead, it insists the entire process should be scrapped with neither facing consequences.
