Space: Above and Beyond (1995) The very first cancellation which traumatized me. 🫡

Have you ever delved into The Expanse? I binged the series this year, and it pains me that it wasn't continued. I was blown away and think it was profound.

I published an article about it yesterday :)

'95 was a great year for sci-fi television. Space: Above and Beyond, Earth 2, the X-Files was in its stride, Sea Quest. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few others, but even now, decades later, the mid 90s feels like a special time for television.

I’ve worked in film and TV since the mid 90s, and this was the FIRST SHOW I ever worked on.

I loved the episode with the "Red Baron" of chig fighters. He had Abandon All Hope scrawled across his fighter.

It was just awesome. „Who monitors the birds?“ was one of my favourite episodes. But there were so many more, inclusive the traumatizing final episode.

It ended with a bit of a cliffhanger It was cancelled thirty years ago It could be picked back up chronologically correctly following a harrowing war of attrition and be fresh a/f as a new show as long as it stayed true. The tanks could be a major plot device too.

THEY HAD NO RIGHT TO CANCEL THIS SHOW.

Firefly was also a heartbreaker
