The reason they want to build data centers on the Moon is to preserve human knowledge in the form of AI after the event. They have doomsday bunkers on Earth and high in the mountains, but they also have a backup plan that includes the Moon. They know they cannot create self-sustaining colonies on other planets or on the Moon. Earth is the only viable option, and the cyclical Geophysical Event resets civilization like clockwork.

From Saturn’s moon Titan, Earth and the Moon crossed in front of the Sun as tiny shadows nearly a billion miles away. What makes it even more incredible is how rare the alignment was. A perfectly central Earth and Moon transit from Saturn’s system happens only about twice every 1,000 years. From that distance, our entire planet looked small enough to disappear into the sunlight.

From there, the Sun, Earth, and Moon stay on the same side of the telescope, allowing its giant sunshield to block their heat and light at the same time.
