SpaceX has faced several setbacks testing Starship, the biggest and most powerful launch vehicle ever built. The delays have pushed back NASA’s plans to return astronauts to the moon. NASA is now targeting a lunar landing in 2028.

Trying to make SpaceX look bad again. Everyone sees what you’re doing. Everyone knows how pathetic you are. It’s only a matter of time bebore legacy media like this disappears completely.

This is FUD. NASA has spent around $93 billion on the SLS program since it started and has faced many delays for various reasons. SLS is an expensive dinosaur that will be retired once SpaceX achieves full reusability. I'm excited for Artemis 2, but let's not compare the SLS rocket to SpaceX's Starship program. For more info, look at my post below 👇

Heat Shield erosion on Artemis I was a major contributor to delays, furthermore, which company is actually building the lander wouldn't make much difference, both SpaceX and Blue Origin are in early stages of their lunar lander campaigns, so a delay would be inevitable both ways.

While true, it's important to note that the contract for the lander was awarded in 2021 (and spacesuits in 2022). The rocket contract was awarded in 2014, the capsule in 2006. If congress wanted a landing sooner, they should have funded the lander and spacesuits sooner.

Totally! The rocket that didn't exist 5 years ago, built in a factory that still isn't even finished, & launches from a facility that was a dirt lot 6 years ago is the big hold up and not the rocket that was supposed to be launching 10 years ago. For a 58 year old program you crank out drivel that a 5th grader could top.

The delay isn't because of SpaceX lol. Any issues they've had, have not been the reason why A2 is only just now launching. Or why the SLS for A3 is still over a year away from being ready. Many journalists have covered in depth why it's pushed to 2028 in depth. Do better.

If the goal is to land men on the moon and return them to earth, we’ve already done that in the past, I think the mission is much more than that.

Your reporting is not accurate and biased. There are many reasons including the cost of Artemis itself. Don’t twist the facts to make @elonmusk look bad. Report accurately and unbiased.

Blaming SpaceX for the delay in returning to the Moon is like blaming the cast for the broken leg. The return to the Moon is delayed by, you guessed it, the Artemis program, SLS, government "jobs programs", relying on antiquated defense contractors to delay the project for years while delivering a substandard product, heat shield issues....etc. Tell me again how this is a SpaceX problem?

I grew up watching 60 Minutes, loved the program in the nineties. Listening to this has got me questioning whether my childhood education was a farce. This is extremely bad reporting, you are responsible for enlightening people not dragging them through muddy water.

@grok how much has the entire Starship program including Raptor development, heat shield facilities, and launch facilities in Texas & Florida cost versus the Artemis program?

How does anyone listen to you people anymore when you post such obvious bullshit? SpaceX is not at fault for the pushback for the moon.

Starship achieving full reusability will forever transform not just space exploration but the economy itself. The delays with Artemis II have nothing to do with SpaceX.

This isn’t true. Slow administration and some setbacks in the SLS program are the reasons it has been delayed to 2028. SpaceX may have announced many aggressive deadlines and failed to meet them, but that is not the main reason for the delays.

SpaceX was repeatedly hamstrung by the Biden administration causing them years of delays and progress. The delays are 100% the result of partisan attacks against Elon and the company.
