Of course in the future AI will be everywhere so it would be in the background. But for now maybe you can get a bit of marketing push making it pop out. Anyway, I think the minimalistic approach of Todoist match better with the first way.

It depends on a use case as you mentioned, for me invisible AI features are much cooler than hitting ✨ Database comparison makes sense, in similar fashion just like we have caching layers for fast access I see a use case for LLM suggestions optimisations where we have similar outputs for different users without actually using LLM-s. Without that, internal costs might skyrocket.

I'd vote Invisible AI. Superhuman does this well where AI assistance feels like using basic product features. I'd rather Todoist help me get tasks done in the UI where I am already working with the components I am familiar with rather than talk to an AI chat

Love this! Sparkling AI could excel in reviews, no obvious flair needed. Prompt it: "What did I accomplish last week?" or "What tasks with this tag did I finish in 7 days?" Use cases like these would be next level.

The real question is, is it going to be developed here in the US or in communist China? My view is that all of us should want it developed in the US. The US should lead on this. I think that’s very, very important. So I’d like to encourage people to help out, actually, with the AI hardware on the ground and the AI software and, of course, with the AI satellites. Solar is going to be a very important part of that. The TerraFab will be a very important part of that, but we must also succeed on the software front, and we’re going to be training Grok on the sum total of all SpaceX information. So in a way, it will be trained on you. You will effectively be the parents of the AI. It will inherit your thoughts and ideas and beliefs, and I think that’s a good thing. So, yeah, we’ve got to win here on the AI hardware and the AI software. That maybe is the most important message. Software Engineering Expectations for 2026 - The majority of your code should be written by AI now - Cursor/Codex/Claude Code/Gemini/etc - You should try all the tooling and switch between them, as each one gets an edge over the others depending on the release cycle. - You should be using AI to check the code that is written by AI - Have AI write tests - Have AI read logs - Have AI navigate your browser - I don't do this every time because sometimes it's simple enough to check it myself - You should still skim code changes - This can be a lighter skim on internal tools and a heavier read through on customer facing code - Use AI to help you define specs

When you could only give AI small bits of work, then the speed of response mattered a ton. The rate at which you can go back and forth with AI in real-time was the determining factor on how useful it is. But as AI agents can perform more complex and useful tasks in parallel behind the scenes, you can much more easily afford to wait longer for work to get done assuming it’s valuable. Now the focus becomes more on how you review and orchestrate the agents’ work. And the main factor is just how useful and usable is the output that the agent came back with.
