For sure! At moment i found a one small visual bug, in upgrade button at Spatial Pro modal. When i click, the word inside the button disappears and change to a vertical bar character. Just minor details, but nothing that affects usability!

Have you looked into memory usage? For some reason it’s occupying 1.5-2gb of memory when it’s not in use

Windows will have to wait for a bit, and I'm not that well versed in Windows apps tbh. But there's always the web options that should work cross platform.

A web-based option would be cool. Is there currently such an option available for Spatial? Or can you recommend an alternative web app?

Spatial is built exclusively for the Mac for now. I think milanote would be the closest web product. also check out @mymind by @vanschneider is a very lovely similar-ish, web based, concept as well.

Thanks, good q. All data is stored in a super fast database, locally on your Mac. This helps performance a lot compared to reading files from disk. It also helps when searching across all your notes. Files has its advantages though for sure.

Gotcha, yeah makes sense! Would just be nice for eg Claude Cowork to be able to work with it, but I guess also possible with a local DB! 👀

Good shout. you can export all notes as markdown by selecting them and hitting a button. That export is fast, and you'll have the markdown packed in to a folder, in the regular downloads folder. And from there you can drag and drop in to claude etc.

Cool! Disclaimer: I haven’t actually tried Spatial yet but from what I‘m seeing it is the interface I‘ve always wanted - making it „agent-ready“ would be the true gamechanger and reason for making the switch for all of my artifacts (documents, notes, inspo, …) though!

Good shout! I've been using it like that as well, but manually exporting/importing markdown files. Makes a ton of sense. Perhaps a local MCP server could be an option, could be made automatic then.

Yup, I think that’d be the most efficient way. 👌 I get why simple folder system would be less efficient and complex as you also need to save additional metadata for entries.

yep think that's right. There's also an overhead in reading files on disk when they're mostly small in size, like most notes are. fetching or searching through thousands of small/medium sized notes, a database will handle with near-zero latency. no need to open each file

I’m not sure how I can support you in bringing this to Windows, but it's an app I need in my life for better order. Not even the most famous apps out there have the features that Spatial provides

If you can reference local files like Obsidian Canvas, you can access AI, and I think it will be much better.

Bookmarked the changelog already. Been using Spatial daily without realizing how much had shipped. Half the new stuff I just stumbled into mid-task.

Where do you make your videos? What software do you use to record your screen and create the animations? I’d really appreciate it if you could recommend something that’s easy and convenient to use.

Yep I use @screenstudio and to record my MacBook screen directly, it's really easy to use and well done. The animations are all done with Swift in Xcode
