By the way—Republican leaders are blocking bipartisan efforts to allow remote voting for new parents like @RepPettersen, who just gave birth. She can’t vote because this majority refuses to put in place the tools to allow remote voting. Even though they do it themselves.

Speaker Johnson’s proxy voting hypocrisy is textbook D.C. grift. He sued to end it during COVID but used it 39 times himself. Now he blocks new parents from voting remotely while claiming it’s unconstitutional—a slap in the face to constituents. Byron Donalds voting from LA? Just another example of elites rigging the system while pretending to care about the Constitution. The real fraud is Congress wasting taxpayer time on performative debates instead of modernizing for working families. Cut the double standards—proxy voting for all or none.
