Speaking at the podium while reading from notes is easier than answering direct questions. There is absolutely no shame in speaking your native language, especially when addressing such crucial... show more

the English language is not the problem. didn’t you see his interview with Cowke? he was that laughing-cow in Somali language too!

The problem of the leaders of Somalis is explaining what they don’t know. So they seem that they are sarcastic because they laugh at serious issues. For example the separation of Somaliland from Somalia is a serious topic according to Ciro, but he is laughing.

Abdisalan, At these types of events, the questions are usually prepared and agreed in advance, not random. Questions about Somaliland’s minerals, coast guard, Somalia, etc. are all softball. So the bigger question is what went wrong with Irro. Was it lack of preparation, nerves or something else? I don’t think the language barrier explains it either. His performance just seemed unusually odd

I feel embarrassed even though I'm not the guest 😂 I feel sorry for him

Cirro speaks good enough English, the problem is what he said or did not say, not how he said it.

Cirro:

In my opinion, speaking in English is not the issue here. The non-stop laughter worries me alot. Mental issue or just to fill the English-gap.

🤷🏽♀️😂

Absolutely true excellency @Abdisalamguled

Sir, those who take pride in speaking their own language are often from powerful, developed countries such as Japan, China, and Russia, not from poor, backward countries where people may see their own language as a sign of low status.

Balse isla qoraalka aad noogu sheegeysid isla luqadii maxaa isbaday haddiiba sheegista arintan aad u adeegsatay!

😂😂😭

That I agree on.

Somalia Is Next As hhhh

Backwardmess

Wtf

Qash

This is embarrassing to all Somalis, whether they’re from the south or north. Unfortunately leaders today are not our brightest. I agree there is nothing wrong speaking your own language instead of mumbling in foreign language.

Cirro is fluent in English. He graduated from Sheikh School, where all subjects are taught in English unlike you, who uses ChatGPT to show off the public with long texts and then your people call you Turufatoole.

I agree fully. Well said brother. This ignorant mentality has to change.

This guy is warlord with few english he is trying to impress people uneducated individual

AF-KAAGGA, AYAA LAGU CIILBAXAA!

🤣🤣🤣🤣👍

Let’s give him a credit his not that bad 😂

Giggling lander you bring shame to the Somali name.

This common among Somalis regardless of our background, we aren't proactive and dont prepare. We r reactive creatures, which always lead us to end up awkward situations like this. I would highly recommend any important somali figure to hire professionals to avoid such situations

English is the lingua Franca. You’re coping

Absolutely, you nailed this point.

He sounds a fool little boy
