Key provisions of the law include: ✅Severe Penalties: Individuals face 3 to 5 years in prison and up to ₹10 lakh in fines for malpractices. For organized criminal mafias, the punishment jumps to 5 to 10 years imprisonment with a minimum fine of ₹1 crore. ✅Institutional Accountability: Service providers and institutions involved in organized rigging or knowingly facilitating leaks face up to ₹1 crore in fines, along with being liable for examination costs. ✅Non-Bailable Offenses: All crimes under the Act are cognizable and non-bailable. ✅Protection for Bona Fide Candidates: The law specifically shields honest students from prosecution if they are victims of undetected leaks.
