Speed camera shenanigans

My sister got a ticket in the school zone in Albemarle County and when she called the clerk to inquire about it, they said that it doesn’t even go on your license as points. But the final was $100 and my sister didn’t want to pay it so she went to court to fight it. The officer who allegedly issued the ticket was not there because of course nobody issued the ticket. So her case was dismissed. I feel like you could fight this issue from that angle alone. There is no officer involved in the ticketing. And there are no witnesses to the alleged crime. Hopefully you can do something with that information.

I live in Isle of Wight County, on December 30 2024 at 3:20 pm I was on my way home from work it was raining that day, no one was working on 58 in Suffolk VA I still was sent a ticket and I was not speeding the speed limit is posted as 60 I was going 63. I also want to know why are our Fines we have to pay are going to Baltimore Maryland? This needs to be investigated and addressed. I will not be paying this fine period. What is happening here is completely unacceptable. Just like these School Zones When School is out on holidays and the summer break these lights still are on and people are getting tickets and this is entrapment and stealing from US taxpayers

Anything to take our money. The worst part, our tax dollars paid to install the dang cameras too.

Camera tickets in Ohio have been removed they are unconstitutional. Take it to court. A physical officer has to give the ticket.

I wish you would let me show you the school bus violation my daughter got. She was passing by the bus when the sign came out and got fined. No way she could have stopped.

I went through one yesterday in Chesapeake and it got me the problem is school was closed for a snow day. School zone lights were not flashing but the camera was working

The NC Constitution allows us to 'face our accuser'. Our accuser, was NOT the police or HP, but an independent, outside entity. We had stoplight and speed cameras. HAD. They were illegal and we had to sue the state to stop it.

Speed cameras failed in AZ.

The worst part about this is the money going to California and not back into Virginia. That doesn't make sense at all.

How do we know that tickets will be issued or that the camera is in operation?

Different state, but I live near a school zone. Same set up captured image of my car's plates. It was actually my sister, having borrowed my car that morning. I got the ticket.😡 This occurred during several altered school hours due to weather in January in 2022.

Video speed tickets violate the Constitution and one’s right to face your accuser in court. Follow the money - speed camera companies sign contracts to split the revenue with the city / county. They intentionally shew calibrations of speeds and light timing for violations.

Looks like a you problem, buddy. Spotsylvania County, Va, flashing school zone speed limit signs & related automated enforcement systems are controlled through a partnership between Spots County Sheriff’s office, Spots County School Board & Spots County Board of Supervisors.
