Reading and watching a movie while you write?

It’s more that I was looking for inspo in the books and making notes. I also like background noise, but I didn’t pay attention to the movie it’s just on

Why are your funkos hiding in the closet? 💀👀 What did they do to deserve banishment from a shelf? I like seeing how other writers write. The TV is a new one. It would distract me. When I write I need music. Mostly metal for fight scenes 🤣 or Skyrim's OST for world building

If I’m seriously writing, like trying to actually make progress, I will have nothing on. But when I’m just like drafting out chapters like working out what goes where, I can have distractions on! (& I don’t want them to get sun damaged 🤣)

Ooh, I do that but with YouTube 🤣 mostly lore videos and world-building discussions. Are you more a plotter or planter? I tend to come up with a character(s), figure out the beginning, then the ending before I start and form light story beats. I wing it otherwise 🤣
