Today marks the 50th Anniversary of the First Summit of Heads of State and Government that took place in Algiers in 1975. The Summit addressed the plight of poorer nations. It called for a new era of cooperation in international relations and for dialogue between producers and consumers in the interests of global economic development, security of supply and market stability. And it reaffirmed the sovereignty of #OPEC Member Countries over their natural resources and their right to develop. The Summit also led to the establishment of the OPEC Fund for International Development in 1976.

🇨🇳China unveiled BIG MOVES to support Global South at G20 Leaders' Summit. It's China's eight actions for global development, here's the detail👇 1⃣is to pursue high-quality Belt and Road cooperation. On top of 700 billion yuan ($96.7 billion) added financing windows and an additional 80 billion yuan ($11.1 billion) injection into the Silk Road Fund, China is moving ahead with the development of the multidimensional Belt and Road connectivity network, one that is led by the building of a green Silk Road and will empower a digital Silk Road. 2⃣is to implement the Global Development Initiative. On August 13th, the first steam generator for the 4th unit of the SPIC Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant was successfully lifted and positioned. The steam generator is the heaviest and largest single piece of main equipment in the primary circuit of the island-type reactor, with a diameter of approximately 5.6 meters, a length of about 24.3 meters, and a net weight of around 633.1 tons. The installation of the first steam generator has laid a solid foundation for the connection of the primary circuit of the nuclear island reactor and the topping-out of the reactor building.
