What are the teaching cues? I see some grabbing grass with their near foot, some are pushing with their off foot. Both are a drive, which is correct?

You push off the foot that is going to drive you in the direction you want to go. So if my left leg is up and I want to get an outside release, I’m going to split and push off my left leg
