SpongeBob actually has a lot more potential since he can actually drive a tanker truck with ease

Part of me wants to think that he is more comfortable with Mr. Krabs as he somewhat sees the man as his second dad, whereas Mrs. Puff is just his teacher. Or it could just be that the plot demands SpongeBob to be competent enough to drive a truck just to dump grease.

He is even capable of driving a boat when blindfolded

It makes no sense that he can perfectly drive a tractor trailer but can’t drive a boat 😤

There's lots of examples of him doing this.

A truck is probbaly way more easy to drive and in SpongeBob I imagine they have truck licenses since nobody really drives them so be probbaly has a truck license since they might be diffrent from a boat license

It's kinda funny how SpongeBob can comfortably drive a big truck and even a rock, but a boat is just too much for him whether he's with Mrs. Puff or Squidward

It’s like does he need Mrs. Puff around lol

(SpongeBob can drive decently he's just stressed usually because it's a test (it's actually what makes the ms puff giving him his license episode funny in hindsight because realistically he wouldn't have caused too much chaos it's just ms puff stressing and stealing the boat)

I kinda just assumed that he can drive literally anything BUT a boat

Let’s not forget the fact he taught himself how to drive rocks with expert precision and handling just by watching pioneer movies.

He probably didn't fucking yell at him when he was stressing out Squidward caused all of the crusty crab pizza shenanigans because he was too lazy to drive (let alone walk) a few feet)

I feel like it's because the test is too stressful for him hence why he always fails

this is just one of those times the writers just forgot something, like that one Ep were Larry didn't know Spongebob for no reason

honestly why doesn’t spongebob start a food truck business if he so good at driving trucks then regular cars and theirs a driving school specially made for truck drivers since driving a semi truck isn’t the same as driving a car
