Spring break, is this something people do? #SpringBreak #Parents

Haha - yeah, there were no “spring breaks,” “senior trips” to Hawaii or getting a new car when I got my license in my house.

Same- my summers as a kid there was no “day camp to keep me busy”. I had my threatened with “the lawn better be cut before your father comes home from work”

I hear ya. My family never went anywhere for spring break and my mom is a teacher. She had off. It just meant she would do more cleaning and things around the house to drive me crazy when I was home LOL

Spring Break for me meant my dad expected my ass at the farm everyday when he left the house till he drove us home. Which was a very relaxing 5:30 am-6:30 pm shift. WE HAD NO BREAK

My parents were teachers so they got the week off too, but we did nothing. I have carried on the tradition with my kids. It gets too “people-y” at vacation spots anyways. 😂

the war between the have and the have nots! been going on since the beginning of time...lol

During Spring Break, my Grandparents would put me to work in the yard. Learned how to use a pickaxe, a level, seed a lawn & even pour concrete. I’d never trade that experience for a trip to some random place

Spring Break was when we stayed home with our mom while our dad went to work everyday.

Spring break… Yea, 3 houses down, you go ask them how the trip was, you come back and cut my lawn!
