‘St. Anger’ - Metallica….listening in, or in the bin!?

The snare drum sound makes me want to punch myself in the balls. Terrible but I would have still played bass on it but Lars never called me back. Here is a picture of us. I’m the dude to his right.

I'm always listening in when it's Metallica. My all time favorite band! Metal Up Your Ass! St. Anger was an era where Nu-Metal dominated the rock/metal charts. That album was their contribution to Nu-Metal. It is good for what it is HOWEVER, it could've been better.

Horribly mixed album. I refuse to listen to it.

In the Bin and I remember when everyone thought Load & Reload were Garbage albums

Maybe, just maybe, there was a good album in there somewhere. A shorter 30 odd minute one with better production, decent drums, an odd guitar solo. But the album we got NEVER gets listened to sadly.

I like a lot on it, but agree it need an editor with a razor sharp scythe that just loved cutting!

Listening in. Only a few decent songs on that album and this is one of them.
