St. Philomena: The Only Saint to Ever Have This🇻🇦

Philomena is my bestie. She teaches me that there are "more things in heaven and Earth than are dreamt of in (my) philosophy." I found this 19th century medallion at a flea market, after which she adopted me: started intervening everywhere. I have no relation to any of her traditional patronages, her archeology is hopelessly bad, The 1911 Catholic Encyclopedia condemned her cult as peasant superstition, her origin story is unhistorical, her very existence is doubtable, but none of it mattered. She was everywhere ANYWAY. That time I had the honor of visiting the Catacombs of Priscilla in Rome, randomly turned my head and her grave plaque was in front of my nose 3" away. She is real, weird, powerful, uncanny, and rocks.

St. Philomena, Ora pro nobis. Amen.

Her shrine isn't far from my family in law lives, her story is truly of inspiration for many, often fleeing confrontation for "it's too big for me" Imagine a 13 yrs girl facing the emperor of Rome. She stood firm, cold blooded. No. I am vowed to God. Wow. No matter he then decided to harm and hurt her as much as he could.

My daughter chose St. Philomena as her confirmation name.

After spreading St Philomena’s oil in my wife’s belly she got pregnant after 7 years trying and we didn’t know she was so powerful! ! Mena is due in 3 months! Praise the Lord!

The church that served as a cathedral here in Omaha for a while before the construction of St. Cecelia's was St. Philomena's. In 1958 it was renamed St. Francis Cabrini when when St. Philomena's canonization was nullified. The church retains the original cornerstone dedication.
