Over the weekend, I spoke at the Arc Community Meetup in Enugu about how stablecoins can support African businesses. The challenge isn’t awareness. Many founders already see the speed and cost benefits of stablecoins. The real issue is infrastructure that still treats Africa as an afterthought, with high fees, poor liquidity, and compliance designed for other markets. Arc is addressing that gap with payments infrastructure built to transfer value across borders without the friction African businesses have faced for years. Stablecoins aren’t just the future for African businesses; they are already part of how many transfer value today. Arc is developing the infrastructure to make that the standard.
